After postponing it for a long time I finally decided to review this foundation which I have been using for the last month. I have always wanted to try Lancôme's foundations and after negotiating with myself for some time I decided that the Teint Miracle would be my ideal match!
I was lucky enough to buy it on a discount at Feelunique's Christmas sale so it cost me only 22 pounds (its normal price is 37). I was a bit afraid to buy this foundation without trying out the shades first, but unfortunately I haven't found the place in Croatia where they would have samples of these lighter shades. So this purchase was a huge gamble but luckily and thanks to all the other bloggers who reviewed it in the past, I managed to find my perfect shade.
SHADE: My shade is 010 beige porcleain. And although it is sometimes being presented the as lightest shade - it's not. There are also shades 005 (ivory white) and 007 (pinkish-rose) so this is actually the third shade in the range. But don't think it makes a big difference - it is still extremely pale and perfect for my skin without making me look like a ghost. There are 18 shades in total which is really a lot and everyone can find their match among them.
COVERAGE: It is supposed to give you light coverage, but in my opinion you can even consider it medium. It won't cover up heavy imperfections or if you have acne scars etc., but it covers most of my redness and gives the skin a flawless finish. I would compare the coverage to the Garnier's BB cream, but the finish is prettier and the skin looks more healthy and radiant.
AURA INSIDE EFFECT: This foundation is known for the aura inside effect which makes your skin glow from the inside - making it appear more healthy and dewy. I love this effect because even when I'm tired or my skin looks grey, this will instantly lift it up and make it seem more refreshed. Lancôme describes it as a natural light creator and says that it contains pearlescent pigments which give a dewy, radiant finish. The skin looks brighter and smoother.
WHO CAN WEAR THIS? It is a light foundation but perhaps not suitable for those with oily skin because of the dewy/shiny effect mentioned before. I personally don't have issues with it and I like to have glowy skin but if you're a fan of matte finishes skip this one. I think it is ok for people with sensitive skin (such as mine), this foundation never caused me any breakouts or allergies.
PACKAGE & SCENT: Teint Miracle is packed inside a nice glass bottle which looks really expensive and high end. I was afraid to touch it when I first opened it :D The foundation itself changes colors in the sun and has a really nice radiance which you can see even from the bottle. It smells really good - like flowers, roses - like Bourjois (if you ever had anything from them you will know what I mean). The only foundation with the similar scent, as far as I know, is the Bourjois Healthy Mix serum.
LONGEVITY: It lasts for a nice amount of time - the only problem is, if you're prone to sweating it will start glowing even more so bring up some napkins with you. But it lasts throughout the day and I had no problems with oxidation or anything of that sort.
HOW IT LOOKS LIKE ON MY SKIN (no filters, natural lighting)
FINAL VERDICT: It is one of the best foundations I have ever tried, honestly. The shade is perfect for me and even though it covers most of my imperfections it makes me feel like I'm not wearing any foundation at all which is great. I love how light it is and how young and healthy my skin looks when I wear it. The only problem is the price - it is very expensive and not for everyone's budget. If you really like this foundation but don't have the money to afford it - try the L'oreal's Lumi Magique foundation or Bourjois's Healthy Mix Serum. In my opinion these two are the closest dupes although none of them are as good as this is. I will definitely repurchase the Teint Miracle and hopefully on a discount again!
