Sleek Blush by 3 in Lace!

Hello everyone!

Today we have a very special blush palette up for review and that is of course the ultra-famous Sleek Blush Trio in Lace!

Since I read about it on so many blogs and have seen many positive reviews in the last couple of months, I just had to order this and give it a try myself. Unfortunately this brand is not available in Croatia (yet!) so I had to order this from their website. It all went smoothly and I got my blush in under two weeks so I can say that I'm really happy with the outcome <3! On this picture you can see the blush shades and the original box:

I apologise for the strip marks you can see here, some of these pictures were made after I swatched the palette (big mistake) so that's why it looks a wee bit messy. So what does Sleek say about these blushes:

"Blush by 3 is the ultimate palette offering you three times the impact in one neat little compact.

With three complementary shades each designed with its own unique finish, from rich shimmers to intensely deep and bright show stopping matte shades. Heads will turn! Blush by 3 in Lace is perfect for all skin tones, offers a matte or shimmery highlight finish."

So as you probably guessed, each of these palettes come in three shades and in Lace the shades were Crochet, Guipure and Chantilly. Shades are EXTREMELY pigmented and you will have to be extra careful when applying these or else you will end up looking like clowns. I recommend a blush brush that is soft and big so you get a nice and even coverage.

Crochet is a very nice, rich and warm orangey shade, reminds me of pumpkins and well, oranges, and I think it will be a great shade to wear next summer, but it also gives you a lot of color in these cold winter months! It will probably suit warmer skin tones better, but if you don't over-do it, you can easily pull it off even if you're as pale as I am.

Guipure is my favorite shade, and the biggest reason that I even bought this palette. It is a soft peachy-pink-rosey-gold (I need to work on these descriptions) shade that will suit all skintones and it also has a nice shimmer so you won't need any highlighter with it. When sold separately, this shade is called Rose Gold and it is one of Sleek's most popular blush shades as it is an almost exact dupe to Nars's Orgasm (which is a more pricey option). You need this shade!!! :P

Chantilly is a warm apple-red shade which I haven't worn that much, but I can definitely see it happen in these holiday times that are ahead of us. It is very rich in pigment so I recommend extra caution with this shade. I like it and definitely think it is one of the nicest red blushes that I have seen or tried so far. Kind of reminds me of Snow White :)

Here on these swatches you can see the most realistic colors that I managed to capture. Although the Guipure shade looks very shimmery here, once you apply it on your cheeks it doesn't look trashy but rather gives you that healthy glow that we all yearn for. And in this last picture you can see how the Guipure shade looks on me, decided to show you this shade since this one is my favorite anyway:

What I'm wearing in this picture:

- Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB cream for combination/oily skin in shade Light/Clair

- Sleek Blush Trio in Lace - shade Guipure

- Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and On Bronze

- Bourjois Volume Glamour Ultra Care mascara

- Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon in Peach on the Beach

All in all - I definitely recommend this blush palette and here are a few reasons why: firstly, you will have all the basic blush shades for a reasonable price (12.49 $ on Sleek's website) and in an easy to carry container so wherever you go you will instantly have three blushes with you, secondly you will get a dupe of Nars's Orgasm for a lot less money spent and thirdly you will hardly get blushes this pigmented and versatile in shades as you will with Sleek! So go get it, now! You can order it here on their website: http://www.sleekmakeup.com/blush-by-3-lace

  1. Uf predivna je paleta rumenila! I meni ja najljepši tvoj favorit, predivno rumenilo. Meni bolje odgovaraju slabije pigmentirana rumenila, jer inače stvarno mogu izgledati kao klaun :D
