L'occitane Fleur D'Or & Acacia collection!

Hello everyone!

Today I have something special to review and to talk about and that is the new set from the L'occitane's holiday collection or as it sometimes says on their website - La Collection de Grasse: Fleur D'or & Acacia set.

As it usually as - L'occitane had a special offer during these holiday weeks and it included this set + one extra body cream/milk from this set and a gift which was their most famous hand creams in a tiny packaging case/box. Needless to say, I fell for this immediately and spent around 50$ (250 kn) on this - plus I also got their famous Almond Shower Oil that time. In the set you will get a hand cream, a perfumed body milk and a mini perfume/eau de toilette all packed in this amazing cosmetic bag! So this is the set in its full beauty:

First I will talk about the Fleur d'or & Acacia Eau de Toilette since this is the thing that I liked the most: I absolutely love this fragrance, it is fresh, flowery, with some rich sweet notes in it (maybe a little musky as well) and it has a really festive scent (if you can call a scent festive?) that I think everyone would find suitable even if they're not fans of flowery perfumes. Let's see what L'occitane has to say about this:

"A sensual blend of floral notes, the Fleur d'Or & Acacia Eau de Toilette allures with its enveloping and bright profile. This fragrance is the harmonious accord of mimosa absolute from Grasse and Mediterranean acacia."

I think it's more suitable for daytime but you can wear it whenever you like and it won't disappoint you. The only problem is the bottle in which it is stored - it doesn't have that pump/spray thingie so you will have to apply it directly from the bottle which is a bit annoying when you want a certain dosage. The packaging is nice but nothing spectacular although I do like this whole goldish tone that the collection has. This small bottle contains only 7,5 ml of fragrance but it is not as bad as it sounds, I've been using it for the last two weeks almost daily and you can see that the bottle looks almost completely full!

Next is the Loccitane Fleur d'or Hand Cream and it is one of the most beautifully scented hand creams that I have ever tried. From the L'occitane website:

"The Fleur d’Or & Acacia Hand Cream helps nourish the hands with a bright and enveloping scent, born of the union of mimosa and acacia. Apply as often as desired throughout the day by gently rubbing the cream into the skin, allowing it to absorb quickly. Made with Mimosa absolute from Grasse and Acacia from the Mediterranean basin, hands are left soft and delicately perfumed."

The cream nourishes the hands quite well (the ingredients are, among others, shea butter and coconut oil) and you don't need a lot of it to spread it evenly. Altough the L'occitane Almond Hand Cream is my favorite, this one is the one that I would use when I feel like I want my hands to smell extra nice besides being hidrated! It's not expensive at all (around 12$) so if you don't have the money for the other things from this collection this is the one that I would recommend.

L'occitane Fleur d'or & Acacia Perfumed Body Milk is the thing I have been using the least but not because I didn't like it - quite the opposite actually - I've been saving it for special occasions (whatever that would be) because I feel like I will use it up too quickly, and besides that, I still have my L'occitane Loving Rose Body Cream which I wrote about here. L'occitane says:

"The Fleur d'Or & Acacia Body Milk moisturizes the skin, leaving it soft and scented with a bright and enveloping fragrance. Perfect for use all year long, it is made with mimosa absolute from Grasse as well as Mediterranean acacia. To enhance its intensity and longevity, layer with the Fleur d'Or & Acacia Eau de Toilette."

As you can tell it is a pretty small package, only 50 ml of product, which isn't a lot for something you're supposed to apply all over your body. I've been using it around the neck line and for my hands and for the rest of the body I use other products, mostly Betina Barty Body Butter which I will talk about in one of my other posts. The fragrance is the same as all the other products from this collection, it is very rich, floral, musky, sweet and you will probably like it, although it can maybe be a bit too strong or luxurious for everyday occasions. I certainly don't use it after each shower. However it is very hidrating and thick which I love, so you won't need much of it (just like the hand cream) to spread evenly.

In the end I wanted to show you a nicer picture of the cosmetic bag which I currently use for my camera, but you can really make use of it in every possible way! Love the colors and the material is also nice and firm:

I would also like to try other products from this collection; the Fleur d'or & Acacia Luminous Body Oil and Shower gel!

Have you tried this collection? Would you like to? I think it would be a great gift for your loved ones for this Christmas ;)
