New years makeup look - black & gold!

Hey guys,

this is a makeup look that I created, again inspired by the new Hunger Games movie (the makeup is amazing!) for this New years eve celebrations. It is a very bold look and perhaps not wearable in some simpler occasions but since tomorrow is a big day I think you shouldn't be subtle with your makeup. :)

I hope you all like it and maybe some of you will be able to use it tomorrow!

Winter wish list and Feelunique discounts!

Hello everyone!

in this post I decided not to review anything but to instead show you a couple of things I'm hoping to get this winter or spring.
It is a nice way for me to have all of them saved in one place so I wouldn't forget what I wanted and so I wouldn't spend money on something else like I usually do. Most of these things are much cheaper now on Feelunique website and they offer some great deals for high-end brands - making them more available to wider audiences.

1. First is the thing that I've been wanting for months but never managed to buy it since I've always put it aside in favor of something else which was more needed or seemed more important at the time; it is the ultra-famous Mary - Lou Manizer by the Balm available for only 12 pounds on Feelunique (around 115 kn)

Favorite fragrances in 2013!

Hello everyone!

This time I decided to do a post about something that I've really been enjoying throughout the whole year - and of course I'm talking about my favorite perfumes and fragrances. I'm not the type of person who has a signature scent but some of these are probably going to be added to that category since these are the ones that I've used more than the others.

[caption id="attachment_258" align="aligncenter" width="640"]1 Favorite fragrances![/caption]

From left to right you can see here: Nina Ricci limited edition Fantasy; Lancôme Trésor in Love; Chloé Love eau Florale, Escada Absolutely me

Just to say something before we begin: my favorite fragrances have always been the fruity ones - or the ones that have some floral undertones mixed underneath the rich fruit scent. This has started to change recently, and although I still like the fruity perfumes the most, I'm leaning towards floral ones more and more as each day goes by...

LUSH: Santa's Lip Scrub!

Hello everyone!

I don't know about you, but Christmas spirit or whatever you may call this phenomenon has started to overwhelm me more and more as each day goes by and not just in the consumeristic or decorating sense of the way - but rather in its true meaning which is all about love and faith. But since this is not a blog about reflections upon everyday life and its meaning in this world - today I will present you a small but cute thingie that I got from Lush which is so adorable that I just couldn't pass by it while I was in their store - and I think it would be a great gift for all your friends for these holiday days upon us!

[caption id="attachment_241" align="aligncenter" width="640"]1s Santa's Lip Scrub from LUSH[/caption]

It is their new - christmasy lip scrub called Santa's Lip Scrub which is (like most of their products) hand-made and all from nice ingredients, which are as follows: sugar, plum and dates extract, coconut milk, coconut oil, persian lime oil, black pepper oil, anise oil, benzoin styrax (which is a tree in Sumatra, not related to anything poisonous or gas-like as the name may indicate) and glitter. These ingredients are as you can see completely natural (apart from the glitter) and extremely good for your skin and lips. You will get 25 grams of product for around 10 $ which isn't a small amount of money but it is affordable by many.

L'occitane Fleur D'Or & Acacia collection!

Hello everyone!

Today I have something special to review and to talk about and that is the new set from the L'occitane's holiday collection or as it sometimes says on their website - La Collection de Grasse: Fleur D'or & Acacia set.

As it usually as - L'occitane had a special offer during these holiday weeks and it included this set + one extra body cream/milk from this set and a gift which was their most famous hand creams in a tiny packaging case/box. Needless to say, I fell for this immediately and spent around 50$ (250 kn) on this - plus I also got their famous Almond Shower Oil that time. In the set you will get a hand cream, a perfumed body milk and a mini perfume/eau de toilette all packed in this amazing cosmetic bag! So this is the set in its full beauty:

Favorite winter/holiday nail polishes - Essie, OPI, China Glaze!

I have been putting aside writing this post for a long time but the time has finally come and today I took the time to do it properly :)

These are the polishes that I have been using the most for the last couple of weeks and I love them all. Here you can see them all together:

[caption id="attachment_127" align="aligncenter" width="512"]??????????????????????????????? From left to right: Essie Parka Perfect, Seche VITE top coat, OPI Silent Stars go By, China Glaze Ruby Pumps, Essie Twin Sweater Set[/caption]

I have to say that these photos have been edited but only because the colors were very distorted  on the original pictures and not as vivid as they really are! So these are the most realistic images that I managed to pull off.

Hunger Games: Catching Fire - Katniss Everdeen makeup & hair!

So yesterday I finally went and saw the new Hunger Games movie and needless to say I was instantly amazed by the costumes and makeup the actors wore throughout the film! Although it was difficult to choose which look to recreate, I decided to go for the girl-on-fire version and that is I think the first Capitol-look you see in the movie - in the scene where Katniss is riding in the chariot with Peeta. If you still can't figure out what I'm talking about here is the picture:

Sleek Blush by 3 in Lace!

Hello everyone!

Today we have a very special blush palette up for review and that is of course the ultra-famous Sleek Blush Trio in Lace!

Since I read about it on so many blogs and have seen many positive reviews in the last couple of months, I just had to order this and give it a try myself. Unfortunately this brand is not available in Croatia (yet!) so I had to order this from their website. It all went smoothly and I got my blush in under two weeks so I can say that I'm really happy with the outcome <3! On this picture you can see the blush shades and the original box:

Non beauty favorites: tv shows!

So today I decided to do something different and that is that between my regular beauty related posts, every once in a while, I toss in a post regarding films I've seen, things I love outside beauty and product this time the topic will be my favorite tv shows/series.

Who doesn't watch them? Have you noticed how recently people are becoming more and more obsessed with shows such as Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and so on...? It seems they are getting more popular than the regular movies, and what's not to like, episodes are shorter than in an average film, plots are usually very well developed and the characters have more soul since you spend more time on getting to know them.

I can't remember ever watching as many tv series as I am right now, and the worst part is - they are all good! Actually they are all amazing! There are still so many I haven't seen yet and I'm already following a decent amount of it was very hard to pick my top five favorites and I would really like to hear your opinion on these ones and maybe suggestions for some others that I might like :)

L'occitane Shea Protects With Love collection review!

This is my first post and I decided to skip the part where I introduce myself and will rather get right on to the business part! :)

Just one disclaimer before I continue: all of my posts will be written in english, mainly because I believe that this way they become more available to wider audiences and I wouldn't want to limit myself just to Croatian readers. I believe Croatian girls are as smart as they are beautiful and that they will have no trouble reading this...if they want to, of course ;) :)
Of course, you can comment on both languages and I will reply to you in the language that you posted. So let's get to it...

As you probably know, L'occitane always comes up with new limited edition shea collections and this year was no exception. Unfortunately, I missed their previous ones so decided to hurry up to the store this time and get them while they're still available. Although I got the collection, I still missed out on the cosmetic bag gift that you are supposed to get with this set, but eh, I guess I already have enough cosmetic bags and wether they really didn't have it or the girl working there decided to trick me - it doesn't matter - because I'm still happy for getting the chance to test out real goods and that is their amazing hand and body cream and a super-moisturizing lip balm. The price of the set is probably different around the world but it is around 40$ (225kn). And just to say - I'm not sure about the name of the collection - somewhere it says "Flowers of Love" and on other sites "Shea Protects With Love" so I decided to go with the one on the official L'occitane page.
